April is Plant Protein Month

In honor of plant protein month, a few of us at the cafe have committed to a spring cleaning challenge for our bodies. The goal was to drop all animal products, and go raw if possible for 15 days. Ha, what a concept. If you are a parent, I’m sure at some point you have had trouble getting your children to eat their vegetables. Here are a few tips and tricks that work for us. In true BFF Style… Spiralize it! A spiralizer is good for more than just zucchini! Apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes are a few fun favorites. Cut vegetables into fun shapes. Mini cookie cutters are great on zucchini, jicama and even melons. Sneak them into marinara and even pizza crust! You can’t forget about our famous cauliflower bread.
