travel=go from place to another one; make journeys especially of some length or abroad
trip=journey or excursion, especially for pleasure

excursion=short journey or ramble for pleasure and returning to starting point
cruise=sail about without precise destination, or calling at series of places
caravan=company traveling together (especially across desert)
voyage=expedition to a distance, especially by water/air/in space

guided tour=tour made with a guide (person who shows the way)
wandering=going from place to place without settled route or aim
outing=pleasure trip or excursion
expedition-(long) journey for a certain purpose
